Super welterweight contender Erickson “Hammer” Lubin (21-1, 16KOs) will face off against Nathaniel Gallimore (21-3-1, 17KOs) in a 10-round bout on Saturday October 26th via Showtime by way of PBC. The bout will take place from Santander Arena in Reading, Pennsylvania.
Gallimore will be a replacement for Terrell Gausha who had to pull out of the match due to a hand injury from sparring which resulted in the need for surgery. Gallimore is 31 years old and has shared the ring with the likes of Julian Williams, Antonio Todd, Justin DeLoach and Jeison Rosario and has won 8 of his last 10 fight. His 3 losses were via decision.
Florida’s very own Erickson Lubin who was once flying straight towards stardom as he rose in the ranks with haste. Challenging Jermell Charlo for the WBC 154-pound belt in 2017 halted his climb as he was stopped via one-punch KO in the first round. Lubin is picking up momentum again as he has amassed 3 victories since then via stoppage. Back in February, Lubin became the first boxer to stop Ishe Smith. Lubin looks to keep that momentum going and will try to prove he still belongs at the top of the division.
As we know from last year replacement fighters can cause upsets. Will Gallimore be another wrench thrown into the plan or will he be another stepping stone for Lubin? Tune in on October 26th and don’t miss out!
