Jaime Munguia: Last Stop at 154?

On September 14th, undefeated WBO junior middleweight champion Jaime Munguia 33-0, 26KOs) will possibly be putting hit 154lb title on the line for the last time ( for now) since he has plans to move up to campaign at 160. Jaime will be taking on Patrick Allotey (40-3, 30KOs) at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson and will be presented live via DAZN.

Munguia will be aiming to make his 6th defense of his title. The 22 year old Mexican bred rising stars has aspirations to move up to 160 and take on the likes of Canelo and Golovkin. He is not shy about expressing the big fights he wants at middleweight. Munguia has also recently brought on Mexican legend Erik ” el terrible” Morales as his chief second.

Allotey hails from Ghana and will be fighting for only the second time in the US. He looks to fizzle out the shine from the rising prospect Munguia before he can brighten into a superstar.

Also fighting on the card is another hot prospect, Ryan Garcia (18-0, 15KOs). Garcia trains alongside Canelo Alvarez. Garcia is charismatic, fast, and looks to keep treading along the path towards a promising career. Garcia will take on Avery Sparrow (10-1, 3KOs).
