Joshua has been sitting on the throne of the heavyweight division for some time now with a notable win over former long time heavyweight king, Wladimir Klitschko, Anthony Joshua is def the man to beat in the division. Joshua has laid the foundation in hopes of solidifying his legacy in boxing history. Every win in the division brings Joshua closer to that goal.

Ruiz was a replacement for Jarell “Big Baby” Miller since he had to pull out due to failed Vada testing. Does that mean Ruiz should be automatically counted out in this clash? Ruiz Jr. fought a few weeks ago on the Garcia vs Granados undercard on 4/20, defeating Alexander Dimitrenko (41-5, 26KOs) via 5 round TKO. Ruiz Jr. looks to knock the king of his throne and become the first Mexican heavyweight champion. Freddie Roach explained that Ruiz should not be underestimated. Roach knows Ruiz well since he has trained him for several years before. Ruiz likes to put pressure and throws punches in combinations. Joshua will have his hands full come fight night.

Also fighting on the card you will have the Irish star Katie Taylor (13-0, 6KOs) who holds the lightweight titles : IBF,WBO and WBA.
