Hot prospect and future superstar Devin Haney(21-0, 13KOs) will headline has he makes his debut on DAZN against Antonio Moran (24-3, 17KOs). Oleksandr Usyk was to be the main event, making the step up to heavyweight against Carlos Takam, with Haney and Moran being an undercard fight, but due to an injury suffered to Usyk’s biceps, Usyk was forced to pull out of the fight. The moved Haney and Moran into the main event slot, an unfortunate event in favor of Haney. The fight will be presented live via DAZN on May 25th at the MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland.

Haney has just signed with DAZN about a month ago. Currently ranked 7 by The Ring at 135 pounds Haney is a young, undefeated, hot prospect that has amassed 21 pro wins before his 21st birthday. Haney stated he was excited about his multi-million dollar partnership with Matchroom boxing.

Promoter Eddie Hearn stated “Devin Haney is a superstar, no two ways about it,. The big fights are right in front of him, he is ready for anyone and we look forward to a wonderful partnership together.” With DAZN backing Haney we could possibly see him in the fast lane to a world title.

The man that can stop Haney in his tracks though is Antonio Moran who Haney describes as “a tough fighter with a lot of experience. He has been in the ring with good opposition. He fought Jose Pedraza to a decision last year, so I know he comes to fight.” Moran and Haney will both look to take the next step up which a win can lay in motion a chance for a title shot. Who will be victorious and take the next step towards world title status?
