Hurd vs Williams: A Fair One in Fairfax

IBF and WBA super welterweight champion “Swift” Jarrett Hurd (23-0,16KOs) will put his titles and his undefeated record on the line when he faces Julian “J-Rock” Williams (26-1-1, 16KOs) which will be present live on FOX and FOX Deports via Premier Boxing Champions with the action taking place May 11th at EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, Virginia.

Hurd has the hometown advantage an is on a hot streak. This will be Hurd’s first time fighting at home as a champion and he will look to impress his hometown crowd with a strong victory over Williams. In 2017, Hurd snatched the IBF title from Tony Harrison via 9th round KO. In 2018 Hurd battled Cuban Superstar Erislandy Lara, dropping him to win via a split decision to claim the WBA title.

This will be Williams’ second shot at a world title and his only loss was handed to him back in 2016 against Jermall Charlo. Fresh off a KO victory over Francisco, Williams looks to keep that momentum going and cause an upset in the champs hometown. Some people aren’t awarded a second chance and Williams knows this and will work hard to rise to the occasion since being afforded a second attempt at a world title.

Tune in on FOX or head down to the EagleBank arena on May 11th and watch has these two super welterweights aim to become super-elite!
