Garcia vs Redkach: WBC Eliminator at Barclays Center

Former two division titlist Danny “Swift” Garcia (35-2, 21KOs) will battle it out in Brooklyn with Ivan “el Terrible” Redkach (24-4-1, 18KOs) in a WBC title eliminator on Saturday, January 25th at Barclays Center. The fight will be presented on Showtime via PBC starting at 9PM/ET.

Puerto rican fighter from Philly, Danny Garcia has shared the ring with many of the top fighters from super lightweight to welterweight in his career thus far. He has notable wins against the likes of Kendall Holt, Erik Morales, Nate Campbell, Amir Khan and Lucas Matthysse. Garcia also had a 2 year reign as a unified champion. The blemishes on his record come from to close decision losses against Keith Thurman and Shawn Porter which could have both gone either way. Garcia looks to knock Redkach out the way to get back to the top of the division.

Redkach will be facing his toughest challenge thus far. In his native Ukraine, Redkach amassed over 300 amateur fights before turning pro and heading to Mexico to fine tune his skillset. He earned the nickname “El Terrible” from his training partners in Mexico and won 14 of his first 18 pro fights via stoppage. Redkach won his last fight against former world champion Devon Alexander via stoppage as well. Redkach is hungry and motivated to get past the tough opposition in Danny Garcia to prove he belongs at the top of the division. A win against a fromer champion and veteran like Danny Garcia will move Redkach up the ladder and closer to the elite level.

Tune in on January 25th has these prepare to brawl in Brooklyn’s Barclays and don’t miss out!
